“I come that they may have life, and have life to the full!” John 10:10

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Father Michael Fleming, our parish priest, who died peacefully on Wednesday, 10th October, 2017 in his parish of Holy Family, Limeside, Oldham.. May he rest in peace.

Mission, Visions and Values

Holy Rosary School is a Roman Catholic School which serves the parish of Holy Rosary and Holy Family.  The school and parish work in partnership to ensure that each child, and their family, are valued, welcomed and cared for.

Our Mission Statement is :

“I come that they may have life and live life to the full”

John 10:10

As a Catholic school it is important that the Religious Life of the school is not ignored.  Each child will receive a religious education, which is based on Christ’s love, care and compassion for people.

The children will express their faith in the daily life of the school, leading to involvement in parish and community activities.  In school, this will take place in assemblies, prayer and joining our parish  community for the celebration of Mass and other church events and celebrations.  These include Sunday Mass, Sacramental Programme and other celebrations we have during the year ,i.e. Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion.

The parish and school work in partnership with and for each other.  As a school cannot develop without its children, so a parish cannot survive and develop without its people and community.  You, your child/children are part of our parish and community.  We need you and your families.

There is an expectation that as a member of Holy Rosary School and Parish you will attend Liturgical events and School family mass on a regular basis.

We aim to develop and foster the qualities of mind, body and spirit, in ways that encourage each child to be actively involved in discovering self, others and the environment. Holy Rosary has 10 values which are used to guide children and support them in self discovery.  These are :

* Self discipline         * Determination                  * Respect

* Honesty                      * Perseverance                         *Responsibility

* Loyalty      * Pride         * Patience          * Kindness

“I come that they may have life and live life to the full”

John 10:10

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
