All staff take extra care when it comes to the wellbeing of all of their pupils. All classes have Personal, health, social and emotional (PHSE) lessons through the Caritas learning scheme.
If parents feel they are struggling with issues at home then they can come into school to discuss matters with Mrs Cavanagh or Miss Warsap. Early Help referrals may be suggested, this is a referral to the authority to access different support at home. The assessment can be done in school or a self-referral can be made.
School has worked with MIND over the last couple of years. MIND has worked with individual classes as well as deliver training for staff.
School have developed a wellbeing hub made up of different members of staff. This hub meet each term to discuss ideas to support the wellbeing of all its stakeholders this includes: children, parents, staff. The wellbeing hub have developed a wellbeing council, in which 2 children from each class are involved. They will also discuss ideas to support wellbeing.
