All children are expected to join in with PE lessons unless a note from a parent is sent in to school to say otherwise.
HOMEWORK - Autumn Term 1 'unhomework' is due in by WEDNESDAY 23rd OCTOBER 2019
SPELLINGS - your child has been given a copy of the statutory spelling list for Years 3 & 4. A new spelling list containing some of these, along with other spelling patterns, will be displayed, in class, every week and your child will also receive a copy of these as part of their homework. Please help your child to learn their weekly spellings. They will be tested each Friday.
TIMESTABLES - Please help your child to learn their times tables and related division facts. During the Summer Term 2020, every Year 4 child will sit a Statutory National Times Tables Test and therefore your child should know up to 12 X 12 confidently. Each child has their own TT Rockstar login details in their reading record book. Daily practice of the tables will help them immensely.
READING BOOKS - these must be brought into school every day, along with your child's reading record - with added comments and signed - as there may be opportunities for children to read to an adult during the day. Books will be changed whenever possible. We have introduced our special 'Reach for the Stars' challenge, where children will move up the chart if they read and change their book once a week. Once they have reached the stars at the top then they will have a raffle ticket entered into a draw, where they can win a prize at the end of each half term.
